|   STINGER "COMPETITION" Golf Tees vs. Regular Tees
 On August 18, 2003 a robotic test was performed by Golf Laboratories, Inc., an independent golf equipment testing facility in San Diego, California.
The test was conducted to compare the difference in the performance of golf balls hit off of a regular 2-3/4" wooden tee to those hit off a 3" Stinger "COMPETITION" golf tee.
A Callaway Great Big Bertha driver with 10 degrees of loft was used for the test and the robot swung the club head at approximately 95 miles per hour.
The test results definitively proved the following:
The golf ball left the Stinger "COMPETITION" tee 2 mph faster than the regular tee.
The golf ball spun an average of over 500 RPM less off the Stinger "COMPETITION" tee than the regular tee.
The golf ball had a slightly higher trajectory and carried farther off the Stinger "COMPETITION" tee than the regular tee.
The total distance the golf ball traveled hit off of the Stinger "COMPETITION" tee averaged 14 yards farther than a golf ball hit off of a regular tee.
